Pig Training & Behavior

From mini pigs to farm hogs. We have real-world, evidence-based solutions, to address your pig’s behavior or meet your training goals.

Pigs are these amazing, intelligent, social, and emotionally complex creatures. Many more people are realizing what wonderful pets they make. But with that choice can come some ‘unique’ challenges for new pig families. Even seasoned pig parents can find themselves thrust into a new situation they don’t know how to address. That is where we come in!

We have been training pigs and dealing with complex behavior situations with both indoor and outdoor pigs for almost a decade. We have collaborated on journal articles with another well-known Los Angeles, CA pig trainer Laura Bourhenne, as well as taught courses for dog trainers on how to train pigs. We work with inter-household pig-to-pig aggression, pig-to-people aggression, handling pig and dog dynamics, potty training, destructive behaviors, enrichment, cooperative care, and more.

Understanding pig behavior, how they learn, and how to properly train them is important for our success. With clients, we work as a team. We also practice what we preach. We have 6 rescue pigs of varying breeds and ages. Gwendolyn age 6 Feral Hog Pot Belly cross, Chris P Bacon age 5 Vietnamese pot belly, Picasso age 2 American Mini Pig, PorkChop age 2 Vietnamese pot belly, Lucinda age 2 Juliana, and Pig Pig age 8mo born here (Lucinda was rescued pregnant) and is a Juliana and American Mini Pig Cross.
